How to Apply Perfume to Make the Scent Last All Day .
Share
Applying perfume correctly can make a fragrance last 6–12 hours or even longer, depending on its concentration (Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, or Parfum) and your skin type.
1. Apply After Showering
The best time to apply perfume is right after a shower when your skin is clean and your pores are slightly open. Tips: Dry your skin completely. Apply perfume before getting dressed to avoid staining clothing.
2. Moisturize Your Skin First
Perfume lasts much longer on hydrated skin. What to do: Use an unscented body lotion or petroleum jelly on pulse points. The moisturized surface helps trap fragrance molecules.

3. Spray on Pulse Points
Pulse points generate warmth, helping the fragrance diffuse gradually. Best places: Behind the ears, Sides of the neck, wrists, inner elbows, behind the knees (especially in warm weather)
4. Hold the Bottle 15–20 cm Away
Spray from about 15–20 cm (6–8 inches) away. This creates a fine mist that spreads evenly over your skin.
Use:
2–4 sprays for everyday wear. 4–6 sprays for evening events or outdoor occasions (depending on fragrance strength).
